2 months to go

I hit 31 weeks yesterday so in just 5 weeks we will be full term with possibly 3 more weeks left until Chloe is here. We are so excited for her arrival, as is Lily. Big sister picks out things that are too small for her and tells me very matter of fact that "this is for baby Sister".

Amanda and Aaron King welcomed their first baby, Fifer Lee on Valentines day and Lily was in awe of her. Seeing a teeny tiny adorable baby made it more real that we are going to have one of our own very very soon. It also reminded me of how quickly they grow as I watched Lily talking to everyone she met for the first time with no hint of shyness.

Corey still comments on just how much pink we have in the closet of their room. I am sure he made the same comment when it was just Lily we were expecting.
One day God will give us some blue to balance out all the pink in the house- but for now, daddy will just have to enjoy his tea parties. Although he does love to teach Lily to spit off bridges. I think it is more fun for him to teach a girl to do gross things then for a boy to pick it up.

Daddy's girls they are. Pin It

Jello...?Jello....? Can anyone hear me?

The Saints go Marching on for their first Super Bowl Victory in forever (or maybe even ever). We watched the uneventful game with Grammy and Pops in Georgetown. Josh was fairly upset his team lost, feeling the Saints played dirty. I on the other hand, could care only remotely. I just feel that this is the moral that NOLA needs to remind their children that no matter what happens, God can make the outcome better.

Lily is enjoying the time with Grammy and Poppy, baking a delish cream cheeze pound cake, helping wash the dishes and now making Jello Playdough. I just hope she doesn't try and eat any of it, but at least we know what it's made of if she does. Pin It

Only 2.5 months to go

Time is really flying by in the Chloe Countdown!
In just under 2.5 months we will be welcoming our newest addition to the family! We are still getting together the things to get the girls in their room. We are still gathering cloth diapers, a dresser and reorganizing their closet to fit all the clothes and toys they have.

We still need to rearrange our room to accommodate the cradle and possibly a changing table for the first 6 months or so. That will give me an excuse to get a new computer desk, since ours is huge!
